July Monthly Associate Gathering

July’s Monthly Associate’s Gathering had a Spanish flavour, as this month’s organisers, the F&B Department threw a fiesta for Melia Kuala Lumpur’s Associates. 

Against the backdrop of a Spanish flag and Spain’s national animal, the bull, two beautiful senoritas got the ball rolling with two wonderful songs. After their enchanting performance, it was time for the games to begin!

The first game was a table setting competition followed by a sausage eating contest. Awards for the Best Employee of the Month were given out and a cake cutting ceremony was held for the July Birthday Babies. 

The evening was completed by a fantastic spread of Spanish food courtesy of Chef Sharif and his brigade of chefs and a performance by Melia Kuala Lumpur’s own rockstar, Mr. Najib.

Happy Birthday & Farewell Mr.Jaya

It was a bittersweet day at Melia Kuala Lumpur today as we celebrated the birthday of our beloved Food and Beverage Manager, Mr. Jaya Segaran. Turning 55 meant that the time has come for Mr. Jaya to ride off into the sunset after 19 years of service at Melia Kuala Lumpur.

Throughout the day, Mr. Jaya was showered with well wishes from his colleagues ending with a farewell party at the Terrace @ the Level, before he was given a send off by General Manager Arno Thöny and Director of Operations Mr. Adrian Prado.

Monthly Head of Departments Walk!

At Melia Kuala Lumpur, we believe that our health truly is our wealth! Early this morning, a group of 11 associates led by our General Manager, Mr. Arno Thöny went on their Monthly Head of Department Walk at Taman Jaya.

The monthly walk, an initiative of Mr. Thöny, is aimed at forging closer ties between the various HODs while promoting a healthier lifestyle! This month’s walk was organised by our very own Front Office Manager, Ms. Geetha Janarthana. The associates spent quality time bonding over the walk, warming up and on the train ride home!
