Deepavali Cheer!

To say it was an exciting day at Melia Kuala Lumpur would be an understatement! Today we organised a Deepavali Cheer event as part of our CSR initiatives and it was out of this world!
The Deepavali Cheer event was organised together with Minnal FM (92.3FM) for the underprivileged students of the Kinrara Tamil School in Puchong. This was the second time that Melia Kuala Lumpur and Minnal FM joined hands to organise a Deepavali charity event.
The event began with a traditional Kolam lighting ceremony followed by a   a sumptuous lunch courtesy of Melia Kuala Lumpur. Minnal FM brought great entertainment, with two groups of dancers and a host of fun games for the children. Melia's own Ms. Shalina and Chef Huzaidy also entertained the audience with their rendition of Kuch Kuch Ho Ta Hai!
Minnal FM also gave brand new Deepavali clothes to the children while Melia Kuala Lumpur's Director of Operations, Mr. Adrian Prado gave each child an 'Ang Pao'. The day ended on a high as the dance floor opened and everyone got their groove on!
